Cobalt man facing sex charges....
A supply teacher who lives in Cobalt has been arrested by the OPP following a monthlong investigation into online child luring. Geoff Ludkin, 29, of Cobalt has been charged with two counts of Internet Luring and one count of Juvenile Prostitution. He was released on bail with conditions not to communicate with anyone under the age of 16 years, not to possess a computer or have access to the internet and to be in the company of his surety at all times...
When on the internet Ludkin utilized Tyson Peltier as his user name

Forget racism, tribalism the biggest worry....
I grew up in cobalt "tentative years" I call them, we moved there to be with my Grandparents when they retired, I was 11 or 12. And left when I was 18. I relate to this article very much in that I remember very well how "Cobalters" were looked down on and sort of ostracized by New Liskeard. It was quite the dynamic back then to say the least!! Yes, things have changed for the better throughout the years but not by much!
Interesting article here......
New Liskeard and Haileybury are united in the City of Temiskaming Shores. Once this was almost as unlikely as Champlain uniting the Iroquois and Hurons......
